Three Goals.Three Years.Endless Impact.

The world set a timeline of 2030 to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the 3 by 2030 Challenge, we are calling on grassroots collectives to solve real community challenges inspired by 3 SDGs. Our pledge to them is to support them to turn their innovations into measurable, real-world impact.

The Clock is Ticking on 2030

The Sustainable Development Goals are 17 global objectives designed to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all.

But goals on a piece of paper don't change the world—people do.

With only three years left until the 2030 deadline, it’s time to accelerate grassroots action.

The Story That Sparked the 3 by 2030 Challenge

"What started as a single classroom idea in Mashuuru became the blueprint for a global movement: One innovation. Three SDGs. Lasting impact."

SDG 4 - QUALITY EDUCATION

The Innovation

Invited by Catalyst Learning Labs, creative eighth-grade learners chose to design a smart city solution for Mashuuru, Kenya, instead of an imaginary future city. Because quality education opens minds and builds brighter futures.

SDG 17 - PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS

The Connection

The initiative attracted interest, so Catalyst Learning Labs connected students with local Rotary and Rotaract partners. A community needs survey quickly identified the most urgent challenge: access to reliable water.

SDG 6 - CLEAN WATER & SANITATION

The Impact

The community built an access road while global Rotary partners provided funding. Local Rotaract partners dug and managed the installation of a new borehole at Dukers Community Learning Centre. Clean water now supports healthier families and gives children more time to learn.
